On Wednesday, the 2026 Annual Conference of the Zhongguancun Forum opened in Beijing under the theme "Full Integration of Technological and Industrial Innovation."
Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, speaking at the opening ceremony, reaffirmed China's commitment to deepening high-level openness and developing mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries in the field of scientific and technological progress.
"Scientific and technological progress is a global and important task. Openness and cooperation are the only right way forward. We must join forces to remove obstacles that restrict the flow of innovation factors such as knowledge, technology, human resources and capital, and help create an open, fair and equitable environment for international scientific and technological progress," Ding Xuexiang said.
This year's Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference will run until Sunday.
The conference is expected to be attended by more than 1,000 guests from over 100 countries and regions, and more than 100 events will be held within its framework.
Founded in 2007, the Zhongguancun Forum has now become a large-scale, open and high-level international event of global standing, aimed at promoting the worldwide development of scientific and technological innovation.
