From June 2 to June 5, 2026, the city of Shenzhen, PRC, hosted the final stage of the information and communication technology competition organized by Huawei. The Practical Competition Network Track featured participation from Shyrmuhammet Vepayev, Chief Specialist of the Department of Digital Systems and Information Security of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan; Arslan Italmazov, a student at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan; as well as Yslam Hayytmuhammedov and Gurban Orazmemmedov, students at the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas.
The primary objective of the Network Track within the Practical Competition was to comprehensively evaluate skills in designing, configuring, and securing enterprise networks. The final stage featured an eight-hour hands-on laboratory examination, where participants from 25 countries resolved complex, real-time tasks involving network routing configuration, optimization, and architectural troubleshooting. As a result, the students from Turkmenistan won third place in the Practical Competition Network Track at the global 'Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Final.'
The 'Huawei ICT Competition 2025–2026 Global Final' attracted over 1,180,000 students and faculty mentors from more than 2,000 higher education institutions across over 100 countries worldwide. The competition comprised several stages: the initial stage was held at the national level, followed by a regional second stage. For the third, global stage in Shenzhen, 500 finalists were selected, forming 170 teams from more than 40 countries.
