Liang Wenfeng, founder of the Chinese company DeepSeek, has become the wealthiest entrepreneur among founders of companies specializing in the development of large language models for artificial intelligence.

According to Bloomberg, following the latest round of investment, Liang Wenfeng's net worth more than doubled, increasing from $16.7 billion to $36 billion. His wealth grew in connection with DeepSeek raising over $7.4 billion in investment in June. As a result of the deal, the company was valued at $50 billion, compared to approximately $10 billion in April. Bloomberg reports that Liang invested around $3 billion and retains 78% of the company's shares.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the Chinese businessman currently ranks 63rd on the global list of billionaires and is among the wealthiest entrepreneurs in China.
